Trogir Charter Guide

The 13th-century Cathedral of St.Lawrence, located in the historic centre of Trogir, known as St. John, among the locals, is built on the foundations of the old basilica that was destroyed after the Saracens attack in 1123 AD. As construction of the cathedral began in 1193 and was not completed until the early 1500s, it reflects all architecture styles which succeed each one another in Dalmatia.

Trogir Old Town

Called Trau by the Venetians, the old town centre is located within medieval walls on a small island. A good example of urban continuity, explore its cobblestone streets while taking in the stunning Romanesque churches, the Renaissance and the Baroque buildings from its Venetian period.

St. Lawrence Cathedral

The Cathedral of St. Lawrence is one of the most well-preserved buildings in Trogir. The bell tower offers sweeping views of the city, while the Chapel of St John, built in 1468, is considered the best Renaissance site in Dalmatia. Take a few hours to explore this historical wonder.

Blue Lagoon

Just beyond Trogir lies one of the most beautiful locations in Croatia, the Blue Lagoon. Located between the Drvenik and Krknjasi islands, this is the perfect place for diving, swimming and snorkelling. Enjoy an afternoon playing in these pristine waters, where you may even spot a dolphin.

Kamerlengo

Located on the southwestern tip of the island, this historical fortress offers stunning scenic views of the city. Climb the old walls and take in the beautiful sunset over the Riva, the old town and surrounding sea before heading back to your yacht for dinner and a nightcap on deck.

Promenade

Take a stroll along the waterfront promenade of Trogir, which features a state-of-the-art marina on one side and beautiful medieval buildings on the other. Filled with local cafes, bars and restaurants, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some people watching and drinking under the sun.
