Portofino Yacht Charter

Nestled along the stunning Ligurian coastline, the small and beautiful port of Portofino remains a revered gem of the Italian Riviera. Located southeast of Genoa, Portofino offers visitors a delectable taste of the finest things in life. Evolving from a small fishing village into a bustling town filled with world-class restaurants, pastel-coloured buildings and high-end boutiques, Portofino has kept its authentic charm over the years. Celebrated among the elite since its 1950s heydays, let its winding streets, cobblestone square and breathtaking views seduce you. Ideally located just an hour away from the Cinque Terre, the setting of this charming port is sure to stay with you long after you’ve departed.

Portofino Charter Guide

The town of Portofino became internationally famous in 1950 when Italian songwriter Leo Chiosso wrote and sang ‘Love in Portofino,’ which firmly cemented this village’s reputation.

Harbour

The village is clustered around the half-moon shaped harbour filled with superyachts during the summertime. Stroll along the pretty promenades and take in the many luxury boutiques, including Gucci, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, hotels, cafes and restaurants that line the harbour.

Scuba Diving

Portofino’s crystalline waters are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. Head to the marine reserve to see the famous Cristo Degli Abissi, a submerged bronze statue located around 40-metres underwater, surrounded by colourful coral reefs and fish.

Abbey of San Fruttuoso

Take the tender around the bay to San Fruttuoso, where green hills seem to rise from the open waters. A historic 11th-century Benedictine abbey is located here, partially buried by the beach and a museum, where you can learn about the lives of the prisoners held here.

Portofino Natural Park

The best way to see the region’s stunning landscapes is a trail leading from Portofino to the Abbey of San Fruttuoso in the national park. Going from the colourful village and elegant villas, the spectacular views of the beautiful bays and surrounding village are worth the hike.

Castello Brown

Situated on a hill overlooking the town, the medieval Castello Brown dates back to the 16th century. Surrounded by a Mediterranean garden, this historic location has been used for military defence since the time of the Romans. Offering great views of Portofino, it’s also a popular location for photoshoots.
