Christina O began life as a Canadian frigate during WWII before being purchased in 1954 by Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, who transformed her into the most luxurious private yacht of her time. She went on to host a slew of famous guests, including Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra, as well as John F. Kennedy and Winston Churchill. Onassis personified the life of the superyacht elite, becoming known as the “original jetsetter,” but after his death in 1975, Christina O fell into disrepair. Fortunately, a meticulous restoration project led by an Onassis family friend was completed in 2001, and charterers can now enjoy the resonance of her unique past while enjoying the ultimate in luxurious accommodation and on-board service. The yacht’s master stateroom, known as the Onassis Suite, spans the forward section of the bridge deck and consists of three rooms: large sleeping quarters, a white Penteli marble bathroom, and a book-lined study. The ship also has 10 double staterooms on the main deck forward and eight convertible cabins on the lower deck.
