Old Town

One of the prettiest mediaeval towns in the area, this fascinating old town is known for its gorgeous Belle Epoque villas, and tropical gardens found around the steep winding streets. Explore the narrow passageways before stopping for a coffee at a local cafe.

Basilique Saint-Michel-Archange

This baroque style basilica dates back to the 15th-century. A stunning historical landmark, the bell tower was not added until the 18th-century. Accessible from the seaside via a beautiful staircase, the courtyard is home to the Menton’s chamber music festival.

Jean Cocteau Museum

The Musée Jean Cocteau pays tribute to the work and life of one of the greatest French artists of the 20th century. Offering over 2,000 pieces of work from the late artist, the building is one of the most architecturally stunning museums on the Côte d’Azur.

Vieux Port

A former fishing port, the pretty Vieux Port in Menton has been completely restored for pedestrians and sunbathers. Enjoy a stroll along the paved promenade before stopping in one of the many restaurants and cafes for a delicious meal overlooking the yachts berthed.

Garavan Bay

A sheltered bay and walking distance from the old town, head to the artificial sand beach for a day of relaxing under the sun. Offering beautiful views of the sea and town, this is an ideal spot to anchor and break out the water toys as well.
