The Stromboli volcano is constantly erupting, and the plumes of smoke that it expels can be seen from nearly everywhere out on the island and miles out at sea. But fear not, the volcano’s eruptions are rarely dangerous, making it a safe island to visit.

Volcano Tour

Book a private tour up to the summit of the Stromboli Volcano. A strenuous climb, only 80 people are allowed up on the volcano at any time. Afterwards, enjoy the magical view of the volcano at night from the deck of your yachts and endless streams of red-hot lava flowing into the water.

Stromboli Town

Located on the east of the island, the larger village of Stromboli is home to beautiful whitewashed buildings, quaint cafes and black lava sand beaches with spectacular ocean views. Take in the bustling atmosphere and sample the famous Sicilian pastries at Ritrovo Ingrid in the centre.

Ginostra

Home to Europe’s smallest port, with room for just one boat, the smaller fishing village of Ginostra offers insight into real village life. The less-visited of the two villages, take in the terraced houses, lemon trees and bougainvillaea as you take the tender ashore.

Pools of Ginostra

A stunning collection of rock pools, only accessible by sea, this is the perfect spot for anyone who loves to swim, snorkel and scuba dive. Surrounding the pier, these pools are set into the rocks and transform the colour of the sea into every hue from azure to cobalt and emerald green.

Strombolicchio

Just offshore from Stromboli Town sits the tiny and uninhabited island of Strombolicchio. A sister island to Stromboli, this island is surrounded by beautiful, clear waters. It is an excellent spot for scuba diving as you can see the continuation of the volcanic plug far below the surface.
