New to the Sales Fleet: Tankoa S501 GREY

TWW is proud to announce that the brand new Tankoa S501 GREY has joined the sales fleet.

This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a brand-new 50-metre Tankoa, highly customised and completed to the highest standards ever delivered by the shipyard – including a 2-year warranty.

With countless upgrades to the technical specifications, equipment and facilities, M/Y GREY also offers a highly sophisticated and luxurious interior designed by Giorgio Cassetta: this is a very special yacht for a discriminating owner who will appreciate the enthusiasm, attention and resources invested in this project.

M/Y GREY is a 6-cabin yacht (including the Master Suite and the VIP Cabin on the Main Deck), full aluminium construction with a top speed of 17 knots and a shallow draft of 2.40m fit for cruising both the Mediterranean and the Florida-Bahamas-Caribbean seas… and beyond.

The outdoor cinema forward – and the incredible sound system by Focal/Naim – are not something you encounter very often!

The multiple-yacht owner of M/Y GREY is already planning his larger build and is offering M/Y GREY for sale to the right buyer.

She is currently asking €36,500,000. For any further information please contact Jean-Claude Carme.

Tankoa delivers 50m S501 superyacht GREY

The 49.99-metre motor yacht GREY has been delivered by the Tankoa shipyard in Genoa, Italy, as the latest unit in the yard’s S501 series. The owner signed the new-build contract in July 2021 and appointed TWW Yachts as project managers. GREY will be used privately after her owner takes delivery on 12May 2023.

Despite being part of the Tankoa S501 series, GREY is substantially different from her sisterships and the three-deck layout, devised by exterior designer Francesco Paszkowski, was heavily customised to meet her owners’ needs.

In addition to the standard features that come with the timeless Tankoa S501 series design, the owner added a spectacular outdoor home cinema screen. This high-definition and high-luminosity screen is located in front of the swimming pool lounge on the foredeck. GREY is also fitted with a top-of-the-range sound system designed by the award-winning French/British brand Focal & Naim has been fitted throughout the yacht.

The owner also gave attention to the design of the exterior decks and the four open lounging and entertainment spaces available. With alfresco living a key element of her design, GREY features a large Jacuzzi on the fly deck alongside seating and lounging areas as well as a pool on the foredeck.

TWW Yachts supported the owner throughout the entire build process from the initial specification reviews to delivery. “We are particularly proud of GREY, and she has been designed and built for the most charming and passionate owners that a yacht broker and project managers can only dream of representing in a new-build project,” says lead broker at TWW Yachts, Jean-Claude Carme.

Giorgio Cassetta worked closely with the owner to create a luxurious and sophisticated interior. Together they created a warm and inviting look and feel, making great use of an array of natural materials, such as rich woods and veined marbles. The interior also benefits from enlarged windows on the main deck, glass bulwarks and fold-out balconies to heighten the all-important indoor-outdoor connection.

“This interior is one of the finest I have ever seen on any yacht of this size,” adds David Westwood, principal partner of TWW Yachts. The six suites onboard GREY – including two customised suites on the main deck – can accommodate up to 12 overnight guests. There is also space for up to nine crew.

“Our usual flexibility in satisfying customer requests is evident in the customisations made to GREY – such as the installation of a swimming pool in the bow, and the fantastic and never seen before cinema / sound system fitted just in front of the pool. The jet black and whisper grey paint gives a sleek look to GREY,” says Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa sales and marketing manager.

The Tankoa S501 series sits at 499GT and has a “light alloy 5083” aluminium hull and superstructure. She will soon join sisterships VERTIGE, BINTADOR, KINDA and OLOKUN at sea. The owner opted for the conventional propulsion package offered by Tankoa, which will deliver a top speed of 18 knots if using both the main diesel engines for propulsion and one diesel generator for the hotel load.

LADY AZUL’s captain on why you should visit South East Asia

I’ve been captain of the 39-metre LADY AZUL for over eight years, and have been living in South East Asia for over 10 years. I live permanently in Malaysia, and have no desire to move anywhere else – I love this part of the world, and am seeing more and more large charter yachts trickle into the region.

I am not surprised that more superyachts are heading this way, as there is so much to see and do, while still experiencing some of the most beautiful places on the planet. What I am also learning from our charter guests who join us in South East Asia is that the peace, quiet and the feeling of being remote is the ultimate escapism.

Compared to the Mediterranean, where you will most likely be seen onboard a yacht, South East Asia is much more secluded and can give you total privacy – you will often be the only person on the beach! There are times we can be cruising and not see another person or boat for a week.

At the moment, LADY AZUL is moving towards Indonesia and Raja Ampat. There are so many beautiful spots in Indonesia to choose from, and historic kingdoms, coral reefs, jungles and isolated beaches are never too far away.

There is nowhere else in the world like Raja Ampat. Just google it, and you can get an idea of what you could be seeing from the decks on a charter on LADY AZUL. Another area we cruise to regularly is the Komodo National Park. It’s called the “real-life Jurassic Park” for good reason! Every time we visit it is always exciting, and the crew and I know all the best bays for anchorages to spend some time spotting the dragons.

There are also the dive sites… you will have to come on board to know my secret spots that I’ve gotten to know very well after 15 years as a commercial diver. The diving is a definite highlight of the region and while chartering LADY AZUL. You will spend time in some of the best spots on the planet – and there are so many! Around Komodo Island, you could spend two weeks diving there and still not cover everything. Whether it is a whale shark or turtles, there is always a surprise on these trips.

The crew and I always try to make any excursion (diving, canoeing, snorkelling, you name it) more adventurous for our guests. Recently we visited a few World War II shipwrecks which were very unique and gave us all lasting memories. Many of our charter guests are looking for a trip that is also adventurous and “back to nature” style.

LADY AZUL is perfectly set up for a charter in the region, and benefits from a recent refit. With all brand-new interiors and modifications, she is a yacht that gives her guests the comfort they need when returning from an amazing day out.

Those looking for a new way of chartering, in one of the best places on the planet, should come and join us!

New Photography and Video for LADY GOODGIRL

We are pleased to present a complete selection of new photography and a complete walkthrough of the stunning LADY GOODGIRL.

The owner would like to see LADY GOODGIRL sold before the season.

She remains in Malta where she is available for inspection at short notice. The seller is motivated so there is a deal to be done.

Lady Goodgirl is one of the few surviving classic gentlemen’s motor yachts of her era. Unusually for the time of her build she has a generous beam and is therefore unusually spacious for her age. This leaves her, uniquely amongst her peers, as a very practical, usable yacht which has genuine vintage charm that also enjoys a master suite on the main deck, a full sundeck saloon and massive open deck spaces.

She has been impeccably maintained and is complimented by beautiful period detail throughout. Yet, underlying this is a thoroughly updated engine room with modern machinery and systems including zero speed stabilisers. Since her purchase in 2010 by the current owner she has enjoyed an almost unlimited budget of annual winter refit works – full details of which are available to interested parties.

Admiral launches 55m PROJECT SILVER STAR with Armani interior

This week at the Italian Sea Group’s Admiral shipyard, the 55-metre PROJECT SILVER STAR hit the water for the first time. Now listed for sale exclusively with TWW Yachts, the new superyacht is the sistership to the highly successful GECO and the second unit in Admiral’s S-Force 55 series.

PROJECT SILVER STAR is on track to be delivered in May 2023, making her one of the only brand-new yachts of this size and calibre on the market today. Her hull, superstructure, layout and flawless design by The Italian Sea Group’s Art Director, Gian Marco Campanino, is identical to GECO. However, two key differences are the exterior colour and the interior design package exclusively devised by the major Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani.

PROJECT SILVER STAR features a ‘chevy white’ exterior colour with darker elements on the superstructure and arch. The custom interior boasts furniture, fabrics and materials by Armani as well as parts of the exterior deck design and loose outdoor furniture.

“This Armani interior is an extremely elegant design unseen on any other yacht to date. Once revealed, what is onboard SILVER STAR will surely start a new trend,” says PROJECT SILVER STAR’s lead broker, Jean-Claude Carme, who is representing the current owner in the sale to make way for a larger new-build project.

Inside the new superyacht, her next owner will find the luxurious full-beam master suite on the main deck, with the equally sized VIP suite on the lower deck alongside the remaining four guest staterooms for a total of 12 guests.

Guests also have a well-appointed main saloon with an adjoining circular-shaped dining room that can open to the exterior via extra-wide glass sliding doors. Above on the sundeck lies a Jacuzzi, a bar and a connecting lounge that creates the perfect indoor-outdoor social environment.

The extra spacious open decks are ideal for entertaining, including the touch-and-go helipad, which can convert into a panoramic lounging area on the foredeck. Another multi-functional space is the vast beach club devised in an open modern-day layout. Here, guests can easily access the ship and shore thanks to the integrated transformer and ocean steps.

“The ‘50+ metre sub-500 GT’ concept of this yacht is gaining popularity among many builders and designers and is setting a new trend for the industry,” explains Jean-Claude Carme. “An owner can avoid the constraints that come with building over 500 GT, and benefit from a design that truly recognises how owners choose to spend most of their time outdoors in the beautiful environments they cruise to.”

“The design of PROJECT SILVER STAR has proven to be very relevant considering the success that GECO has encountered on the charter market,” says TWW’s principal partner David Westwood. “She is arguably one of the most successful charter yachts in history and was chartered for at least 16 weeks in her first year on the market. This success is also something the next owner of PROJECT SILVER STAR could enjoy, as she can cruise almost anywhere in the world.”

The technical specifications have been upgraded to accommodate several automated systems in abidance with the Unmanned Machinery Space (UMS) Classification to allow the Chief Engineer to work freely from the engine room when the yacht is underway. TWW Yachts’ expert project management team, including her broker, were key advisors to this upgrade and were involved in the entire build process and will remain so until delivery.

“We have pushed the boundaries for what was previously achieved for this model of superyacht. For anyone wanting a new superyacht in time for next season, and avoid the 30-month wait for a new build, this is the one,” says Jean-Claude Carme.

With the captain assigned a suite on the upper deck, PROJECT SILVER STAR can carry a crew of 10 in five en-suite crew cabins and is fitted with CAT engines to power her to a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots. She offers a transatlantic range when cruising at 10 knots, and benefits from a full-aluminium construction with a shallow 2.3-metre draft and MCA compliant.

As one of the leading brokerage houses, TWW Yachts also specialises in yacht sales, yacht purchase, charter, crew placement and technical support. Any further information about PROJECT SILVER STAR is available via TWW Yachts by emailing: jcc@twwyachts.com
