Admiral launches 55m PROJECT SILVER STAR with Armani interior

This week at the Italian Sea Group’s Admiral shipyard, the 55-metre PROJECT SILVER STAR hit the water for the first time. Now listed for sale exclusively with TWW Yachts, the new superyacht is the sistership to the highly successful GECO and the second unit in Admiral’s S-Force 55 series.

PROJECT SILVER STAR is on track to be delivered in May 2023, making her one of the only brand-new yachts of this size and calibre on the market today. Her hull, superstructure, layout and flawless design by The Italian Sea Group’s Art Director, Gian Marco Campanino, is identical to GECO. However, two key differences are the exterior colour and the interior design package exclusively devised by the major Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani.

PROJECT SILVER STAR features a ‘chevy white’ exterior colour with darker elements on the superstructure and arch. The custom interior boasts furniture, fabrics and materials by Armani as well as parts of the exterior deck design and loose outdoor furniture.

“This Armani interior is an extremely elegant design unseen on any other yacht to date. Once revealed, what is onboard SILVER STAR will surely start a new trend,” says PROJECT SILVER STAR’s lead broker, Jean-Claude Carme, who is representing the current owner in the sale to make way for a larger new-build project.

Inside the new superyacht, her next owner will find the luxurious full-beam master suite on the main deck, with the equally sized VIP suite on the lower deck alongside the remaining four guest staterooms for a total of 12 guests.

Guests also have a well-appointed main saloon with an adjoining circular-shaped dining room that can open to the exterior via extra-wide glass sliding doors. Above on the sundeck lies a Jacuzzi, a bar and a connecting lounge that creates the perfect indoor-outdoor social environment.

The extra spacious open decks are ideal for entertaining, including the touch-and-go helipad, which can convert into a panoramic lounging area on the foredeck. Another multi-functional space is the vast beach club devised in an open modern-day layout. Here, guests can easily access the ship and shore thanks to the integrated transformer and ocean steps.

“The ‘50+ metre sub-500 GT’ concept of this yacht is gaining popularity among many builders and designers and is setting a new trend for the industry,” explains Jean-Claude Carme. “An owner can avoid the constraints that come with building over 500 GT, and benefit from a design that truly recognises how owners choose to spend most of their time outdoors in the beautiful environments they cruise to.”

“The design of PROJECT SILVER STAR has proven to be very relevant considering the success that GECO has encountered on the charter market,” says TWW’s principal partner David Westwood. “She is arguably one of the most successful charter yachts in history and was chartered for at least 16 weeks in her first year on the market. This success is also something the next owner of PROJECT SILVER STAR could enjoy, as she can cruise almost anywhere in the world.”

The technical specifications have been upgraded to accommodate several automated systems in abidance with the Unmanned Machinery Space (UMS) Classification to allow the Chief Engineer to work freely from the engine room when the yacht is underway. TWW Yachts’ expert project management team, including her broker, were key advisors to this upgrade and were involved in the entire build process and will remain so until delivery.

“We have pushed the boundaries for what was previously achieved for this model of superyacht. For anyone wanting a new superyacht in time for next season, and avoid the 30-month wait for a new build, this is the one,” says Jean-Claude Carme.

With the captain assigned a suite on the upper deck, PROJECT SILVER STAR can carry a crew of 10 in five en-suite crew cabins and is fitted with CAT engines to power her to a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots. She offers a transatlantic range when cruising at 10 knots, and benefits from a full-aluminium construction with a shallow 2.3-metre draft and MCA compliant.

As one of the leading brokerage houses, TWW Yachts also specialises in yacht sales, yacht purchase, charter, crew placement and technical support. Any further information about PROJECT SILVER STAR is available via TWW Yachts by emailing: jcc@twwyachts.com
