Hvar Charter Guide

Many folks rush to visit the port town of Hvar to see its 13-century walls and hilltop fortress up close, but the nearby Pakleni archipelago should not be missed. The rocky isles and hidden coves are easily explored by tender and provide excellent opportunities for snorkelling.

Hvar Old Town

Simply overflowing with historical landmarks, the old town is nestled in between hillsides and the port. Wander through its cobblestone streets which offer a wealth of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. At night, the west of the town comes to life with its incredible array of clubs and bars.

Jagodna Bay

A secluded cove, Jagodna Bay is the perfect place to relax in privacy. Located between the picturesque villages of Ivan Dolac and Sveta Nedalja, this tranquil spot features a fine sand beach, rather than pebbled. Swim in the shallow water or break out the toys for some fun!

Hvar Fort

Sitting above Hvar Town, the Tvrdjava Fort is located on the site of a Byzantine citadel that dates back to the 6th-century. Climb the steps and enjoy the stunning views before visiting other ancient sites, like the Baroque-style Cathedral of St.Stephen and the quaint Franciscan Monastery.

Jelsa

Located on the northern coast of Hvar, the charming town of Jelsa consists of a maze of winding streets off the main road. Home to lovely town squares, local restaurants and coffee shops it is the perfect place to sample traditional regional seafood dishes, like the octopus salad.

Pakleni Archipelago

Spend half a day exploring the isles of the Pakleni archipelago. Admire the rocky coastline and cliff sides before visiting local attractions like the Blue Cave and Green Cave, unique geomorphological natural wonders in sea caves.
