Highlights from the 2023 Venice Boat Show

Venice, the Masked Queen of the Adriatic, has a lifelong relationship with boating yet only recently established a yachting event – and it’s not one to miss.

Held in the Arsenale of Venice, the historic centre of the city’s naval industry and just a 15-minute walk from Basilica di San Marco, the 4th Edition of the Venice Boat Show brought together more than 220 exhibitors and 300 vessels docked in the city’s iconic basin.

The show is diverse and the boats on display ranged from small RIBS and chase boats to sub-40-metre motor and sailing yachts. There were also plenty of representatives from leading builders, such as Fincantieri, Ferretti, Wider and Sunseeker, ready to discuss larger projects. But the added appeal of the Venice Boat Show is that it’s a show of firsts – new builders, brands and many debuts. Here is the rundown of some of the hottest new yachts and projects:

36.8m | Ocean King | Vayus | 2023

The Venetian builder Ocean King claimed flagship status, bringing the largest from its brand-new Ducale series. Designed by VYD Studio with naval architecture by InNave, the steel-hulled motor yacht offers 334 GT of interior volume and accommodation for as many as 10 guests and seven crew. She has plenty of alfresco space and features two large Jacuzzis: one aft and the other on her sundeck.

24.06m | Wally | wallywhy150 | 2023

Nestled at the end of the dock was the striking first unit from the wallywhy150 series, the smaller sister to the wallywhy200 which debuted at Cannes last year. There’s been a lot of buzz around the 24.06-metre wallywhy150 – and rightly so. With an interior volume of 150GT and LWL under 24-metres, the wallywhy150 has the living space of a large yacht and the benefits of not being LYC classified. The wallywhy150 offers accommodation in four staterooms, including a stunning forward owner’s suite with 270-degree panoramic views.

18.41m | Omikron Yachts | OT-60 | TBC

Omikron Yachts, a newcomer from Greece, presented a prototype of its 18.41m OT-60. The philosophy behind the OT-60 is the feel of a sailing yacht with motor yacht credentials. The OT-60 is beamy, easy going and informal, yet doesn’t require the technical skills for navigation. It also boasts an impressive 1,000-nautical mile range. An interesting concept and one that will likely grow in popularity.

23.47m | Fabiani Yachts | Fabiani Yacht 77” Hybrid | TBC

Another newcomer is Italy’s Fabiani Yachts, which presented a fleet of concepts in the indoor exhibition area. Fabiani Yachts has created an eco-conscious line of motor yachts that adopts the same philosophy of Silent Yachts and Sunreef yet in a smaller package. Unlike Silent Yachts and Sunreef though, Fabiani Yachts have unique solar panel configurations that can fan out to catch the sun whilst the yacht is at anchor. Its first project, the Fabiani Yacht 77” Hybrid is well into construction, with the keel laid in April 2022.

Other notable yachts presented at the event include the Arcadia Sherpa 80, the Pershing 9X, the Nevatta 75, the Azimut 68 and the Nautor Swan 65.

M/Y Emerald to debut in Barcelona at MYBA Charter Show

Exclusively for charter with TWW, the 50.4-metre Feadship Emerald will premiere at the 33rd edition of the MYBA charter show in Barcelona from 24th April.

The classic yacht – ex MQ2 – was originally delivered in 1990 and has recently benefitted from a significant refit at Balk Shipyard. As a result of the refit project, she received a stern extension of 2.5 metres contributing to a vast aft main deck and a hull repaint to the iconic “orion green” – reminiscent of her name.

Her interiors were reconfigured, revamped, and modernised by Design Unlimited with a monochromatic theme. After the refit, the owners of Emerald put their trust in TWW to manage and introduce her to the charter market.

The TWW charter team will be on hand in Barcelona to give a guided tour of her to all charter brokers. Brokers can tour the spacious interior that accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, including two main deck cabins and four on the lower deck.

Performance-wise, she also now has a pair of new zero-speed Quantum stabilisers, new navigation and AV equipment for a smooth cruising experience. Emerald has been kitted out for ultimate charter fun with a state-of-the-art William EvoJet tender and an array of toys perfect for guests, including towable, Seabobs, kayaks and electric surfboards.

Out on deck, guests can relax within the comfortable seating arrangements and soak in the spa pool on the sundeck. There are also plenty of spacious alfresco dining options available.

This summer season, the yacht will be based out of the Cote’d Azur and available throughout the Western Mediterranean, with possibilities at the end of the season for further cruising grounds of Croatia and Turkey. Emerald will then cross the pond for a Caribbean season.

She is listed at a summer high season rate of €240,000 per week and at a low rate of €210,000.

As well as debuting this impressive Feadship in Barcelona, TWW is also hosting a competition onboard Emerald with the chance to win the latest and impressive ‘GoPro Max.’ The winner will be announced on Wednesday, 26th April, at the onboard cocktail evening.

TWW SELLS THE FIRST BENETTI B.YOND 37M  – M/Y GOGA

TWW is thrilled to announce the sale of the first Benetti B.Yond 37M, with James Hall representing the Buyer. We would like to thank all those involved with this ground-breaking new project from start through to completion.

Inspired by the revolutionary vision of Paolo Vitelli, Founder and President of Azimut|Benetti Group, and shaped by the creative genius of architect Stefano Righini, Benetti B.Yond 37M “GOGA” extends across four decks. The greenest model in its class, the innovative E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy makes it possible to optimize on-board energy consumption according to specific usage profiles, which translates into unprecedented CO2 and NOx emissions reductions for a yacht in this category.

The revolutionary concept devised by Stefano Righini, who brings all his creative flair into play, features the inclusion of a fourth deck, which makes it possible to raise all the most prestigious areas of the yacht and give them an incredible panoramic view.

The cleverly designed layout, which exploits the full potential of a 50-meter, 500 GT mega yacht optimized in a length of just 37 meters, has made it possible to keep the various functional areas separate without affecting the overall harmony.

She features a stunning Upper Deck which gives unprecedented internal and external living space from stern to bow, unseen on a yacht of this size before. Below this the Main Deck, in addition to four guest suites that are particularly spacious for a 37-meter yacht, includes a second saloon with stunning panoramic windows, the Bridge Deck features a master suite with private terrace, while the sundeck is vast, and sits higher than all yachts in her class making her perfect for private entertaining. On the Lower Deck, you will find a sixth guest cabin, galley, large double captain’s cabin, crew quarters and the remaining crew cabins with seamless connectivity to the vessel’s engine room and tender deck. Finally the beach club offers a steam room and sauna and allows the guests onboard to fully connect with the sea whilst at anchor.

Put simply, there is a not a yacht of this size on the market that offers the space and functionality that you find onboard, whilst also maintaining the highest levels of finish. She is a yacht that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

TWW Yachts to attend the 2022 Mediterranean Yacht Show

The Mediterranean Yacht Show is the premier and most established boat show in Greece. Held in the last week of April for 6 days between the 29th of April and the 4th of May, the event is a mainstay in the calendar for professionals in the superyacht and brokerage industries.

The Mediterranean Yacht Show is a targeted trade show for professionals. It is the main yachting event that will display in the best possible way the “crème de la crème” of the licensed and legally operating highly professional yachts and crews in this part of the World.

The top qualified professionals reacted at light speeds altering the course and meeting the new challenge. We are here to safeguard a bigger and better than ever Charter Show.

The site location was carefully studied, the element of repetitive boredom was taken into consideration and frankly for a country like Greece the options were numerous; a fact that you will be discovering year after year with diverse locations all of which fall within your Charterers must-visit list.

With the State realizing the essential growth of new reality and the Yachting Professionals ready to embrace the new liberal legal status Greece is more than ever ready to make the passage; for power needs control and seasoned sea people on the helm.
