Following a short stop in the French Riviera, the 63.8-metre VSY yacht Atomic has been delivered and is set to cross the Atlantic to meet her owner in Florida. The custom motor yacht belongs to a repeat client of TWW’s new build specialist Jean-Claude Carme.

The 1101 GT yacht set off from the VSY Shipyard in Viareggio with adventurous future plans that will see the owner enjoying the world’s most remote spots and dive sites.

Built for an experienced owner who owns a 45-metre motor yacht by the same name, Atomic is the third and largest unit of the Italian shipyard’s VSY 64 series, following Sealyon and RoMa, all of which feature exterior designs Espen Oeino. Her interior is the work of Darnet Design and she can accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms with 18 crew on board to assist.

She features an owner’s suite with fixed side terraces, offering a private area to relax. Other highlights include a generously-sized infinity pool on the sundeck aft and professional diving centre. The fire pit located forward on the sundeck provides a cosy atmosphere where guests can hang out at night.

Atomic features a Dynamic Positioning system as well as diesel electric thrusters that enhance the performance of the yacht. She is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B engines, which allow her to cruise comfortably at 12 knots and reach a top speed of 17 knots.
