Abeking & Rasmussen was founded in 1907 in Lemwerder, Germany by Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen. With a stronghold in the yacht designing sector, Rasmussen really helped launch the company in its early days. A&R worked for both private and commercial sectors, with the occasional commission for the military sector. Their early days were characterised by their unique craftsmanship of wooden sailing and motor yachts, as well as patrol boats. In recent years, their focus has shifted to building superyachts of over 70m.
With their 100+ years of production and extensive experience of superyacht delivery (over 50), their service is of utmost quality. Abeking & Rasmussen’s largest yacht to date is AVIVA, measuring 98.4m with 4,966 GT.
