Chief Engineer - 55m M/Y - Single Season Mediterranean Charter

We are currently seeking a Permanent Chief Engineer to join a 55m Charter Motor Yacht.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vessel’s engineering systems and ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery onboard. You will work closely with the captain and other crew members to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests while at sea. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The vessel is currently in the shipyard undergoing a warranty period and will be under going a full galley refit before heading to season. The vessel intends to be based around Monaco for the summer season. You will have a 2nd engineer with you to assist with day to day operations. 

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chief Engineer on motor yachts, ideally between 46m – 50m.
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, including auxiliary machinery, generators and hydraulics.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crew and guests.
• Proficiency in safety management and emergency procedures.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and schedules.
• Valid STCW and ENG1 up-to-date.
• Y3 Engineering license.

Package:

• Salary: €8,500 – 9,000 pcm
