Captain - 40m M/Y - Single Season Private/Charter

We are currently seeking a Permanent Captain to join a 40m Private/Charter Motor Yacht.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the yacht, ensuring the highest standards of safety, maintenance and guest services. The role requires a dedicated professional with a passion for the sea and experience in yacht operations. A background in kitesurfing and watersports would be beneficial as the vessel runs with a crew of 7 and would require a hands on Captain to assist the Deck team, and oversee recreational activities and ensure that guests have a memorable experience on board. The Vessel has a busy charter program booked for the 2026 Mediterranean summer with owners use. This role needs a hands on captain that is happy to assist on deck and from time to time.

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum Master 500GT
• Valid STCW and ENG1
• Proven experience as a Captain on motor yachts of 36m – 45m.
• Strong knowledge of yacht safety protocols and maritime regulations.
• Knowledge of managing accounts and shipyard periods.
• Experience in managing yacht crew and operations.
• Background in kitesurfing and watersports.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Package:

• Salary: €13,000 – 14,000 pcm
• Leave: 60 days paid leave per year
• Itinerary: Mediterranean
