Captain - 35m M/Y - Private/Charter

We are currently seeking a Permanent Captain to join a 35m+ Single Season Private/Charter Motor Yacht.  

The role involves overseeing the daily operations, navigation, safety, and overall management of the vessel, with an emphasis on maintaining impeccable service standards for discerning clients. The Captain will be expected to work closely with the owner, who is highly involved in the yacht’s operations, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation. The position requires a proactive leader who can manage the crew efficiently while adhering to safety and maritime regulations. Based in Europe, the role includes seasonal deployments with winter operations in Turkey and summer cruising in Greece. The successful candidate will have excellent navigation skills, a trustworthy demeanour, and a British background, with fluent English language skills essential. The role commences at the end of January, during which the boat will be out of the water and unattended in Turkey.

Please Note: This is a full time role, the captain will be required to be onboard during the summers and off during the winters as the vessel is dry docked and left in the winter.

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience as a Captain on similar sized motor yachts (31m – 35m)
• Master 500GT
• Valid STCW and ENG1
• Excellent navigation and seamanship skills
• Trustworthiness and discretion essential
• Willingness to be involved in all aspects of yacht operation, including close customer interaction
• Fluent English speaking skills
• Availability to start end of January
• Experience managing crew and ensuring safety standards

Package:

• Salary: €7,500 – 8,000pcm
• Leave: Onboard for the summer season and off during the winters
• Itinerary: Mediterranean
