Assistant Engineer - 50m+ M/Y - Single Season Charter

We are currently seeking a Permanent Assistant Engineer to join a 50m+ Charter Motor Yacht.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the maintenance and efficient operation of the vessel’s machinery and systems. Candidates must possess formal qualifications and relevant experience as a 2nd Engineer, demonstrating their capability to support the engineering department effectively while at sea. This role with be an engineering focused position when the vessel is on standby for Owner use and Charters, during trips the role will be a dual role assisting the deck crew with the day to day operations and maintenance.

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience as a 2nd Engineer on motor yachts, preferably in the 40 – 50m+ range.
• Valid STCW certifications and ENG1.
• AEC 1 & 2 Minimum.
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, including engines, electrical systems, and safety equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to maintenance schedules and adherence to safety protocols.
• Willingness to travel and work on a flexible schedule.

Package:

• Salary: €4,000 – 4,500 pcm – DOE
• Leave: 3.67 days paid leave per month
• Itinerary: Mediterranean
• Tips shared equally
