Martinique Yacht Charter

Escape to the beautiful, rugged and tropical island of Martinique this season. A lesser-known, shining gem that is part of the Windward Islands, Martinique is known for its spectacular tropical rainforests, dense vegetation and pristine beaches. The lack of inclusive resorts and sprawling cosmopolitan cities is part of its rustic, barefoot luxury appeal, which has lured in countless visitors over the years. The third-largest island in the Lesser Antilles, following Trinidad and Guadeloupe, this overseas region of France is home to a unique yet distinctive blend of French and West Indian influences. A Martinique yacht charter is the best way to explore everything this island has to offer, from the green mountainous north with its black sand beaches to its unspoiled, rocky hills sheltering its white sand beaches in the south. The ideal Caribbean destination to unwind, Martinique offers everything from swimming and snorkelling among its vibrant coral reefs to exploring its many fishing villages, soaking in its hot springs, trekking through its rainforest and climbing its volcanic peaks. A Martinique yacht charter will leave you with a lifetime of unforgettable memories no matter what you do.

Martinique Charter Guide

Home to a population of over 400,000 inhabitants, the island of Martinique measures just a few blocks smaller than New York City at 525 square miles.

Fort-de-France

The capital of Martinique, the city, celebrates all aspects of French and Caribbean cultures. Explore its winding streets, taking in the array of stores, art galleries, theatres and museums. Be sure to visit a cafe or restaurant and dine outside, so you can watch the locals play boules.

Petite Anse

Home to a quaint fishing village and sand and pebble beach, many come to this area to visit the Dlo Ferré hot springs. Nestled at the foot of Morne Jacqueline, the protected heritage site features several small, natural thermal springs which can accommodate a maximum of two people.

Saint-Pierre

Scarred by the eruption of 1902, Saint Pierre still shows marks of the faithful event. Formerly the most important city of the island, known as the ‘Paris of the Caribbean’, wander along the Rue Mont-au-Ciel, one of the only streets which remained intact and explore its colourful market square.

Mount Pelée

An active volcano located at the northern end of the island, it last erupted in 1932. The stratovolcano’s eruption in 1902 killed 30,000 people, making it the worst volcanic disaster of the 20th century. Take a private helicopter ride over the peak for unrivalled views of the island.

Anse Couleuvre

One of the most stunning black sand beaches on the island, this wild and secluded beach is ideal for spending a morning or afternoon sunbathing and swimming in privacy. Located to the north of Saint-Pierre, it’s a tropical paradise.
