Cyprus Charter Guide

The island of Cyprus provides a broad range of activities to enjoy, but beneath its transparent, beautiful waters lies some of the region’s most beautiful wonders. The ideal region for snorkelling and scuba diving, Cyprus is home to several shipwrecks and sea caves as shallow as 15-metres, ideal for beginners, next to a wealth of marine life from tropical fish to sea turtles.

Akamas Peninsula National Park

A stunning part of the island, Akamas National Park covers 230 square kilometres and is home to valleys, gorges and sandy bays. Hike along the forest trails and enjoy the diversity of wildlife. Visit the Baths of Aphrodite, a natural cavern where myth says the Goddess would bathe.

Kyrenia

Famous for its historic harbour and medieval castle, the gothic Kyrenia is one of the island’s beautiful cities. Stroll along the streets of the old town by the ruins of the Lusignan walls before visiting the nearby village of Bellapais and the ruins of the Abbey dating to the 13th century.

Blue Lagoon

The sparkling waters in this small bay are so clear you can see right down to the sea bed. Enjoy an afternoon of swimming and snorkelling before cruising towards Lara Beach, where the golden sands are soft and inviting. Look out for breeding Green and Hawk’s Bill turtles.

Famagusta

A major port city, home to the deepest harbour in Cyprus, Famagusta is best known for its preserved 15th and 16ht century Venetian walls, which are surrounded by a waterless moat. Enjoy the sweeping views from the top of the moat, taking in the picturesque buildings and surroundings.

Nicosia

The capital city of Cyprus, Nicosia, is still divided militarily. With plenty to do on both sides, the bustling old town features an abundance of cafes and museums to explore during the day. In the evening, sample some of the city’s exquisite restaurants and bars surrounded by Venetian walls.
