Model Review: Pardo Endurance 72

The Pardo Endurance 72 marks a bold new chapter for Cantiere del Pardo, blending Italian craftsmanship with forward-thinking design for discerning owners seeking long-range cruising with style and ease. Debuting at the Palma Boat Show, this model is the first of its kind—fresh from the shipyard and brimming with features that reflect a careful balance between functionality, comfort, and elegant simplicity.

In this review, we’ll take you on an in-depth tour of the Pardo Endurance 72, exploring her versatile deck spaces, contemporary interior, advanced helm systems, and capable engine room. Whether you’re a seasoned yacht owner or contemplating your first step into the luxury motor yacht world, this model offers a compelling mix of Mediterranean sophistication and bluewater capability.

Cockpit and Aft Innovation

The Pardo Endurance 72 immediately makes an impression from the aft cockpit, where spaciousness and adaptability are key. Drop-down balconies on both sides extend the beam significantly, creating a floating terrace effect that brings you closer to the water—an ideal setup for lounging, entertaining, or simply soaking in the views.

One of the most innovative features is the full-beam open-plan concept achieved with sliding and bi-folding doors. These transform the salon and cockpit into a single, seamless space, ideal for warm Mediterranean cruising. The drop-in leaf table, customizable reclining sunbeds, and integrated lighting elevate the ambiance, creating a private beach club at anchor or dock.

Main Salon and Galley

Step inside and you’re greeted by a refined yet relaxed interior, finished in light woods and curved edges that soften the modern, minimalist aesthetic. The salon is designed as a true social hub, with a comfortable lounge area, a rise-and-fall television, and panoramic glass that floods the space with natural light.

The galley is fully equipped for extended stays onboard, with refrigeration, dishwasher, induction cooking, a full sink, and ample pantry storage—hidden smartly behind sliding cabinetry and integrated panels. The inclusion of a wine cooler and coffee station makes this a galley as suited for entertaining as it is for everyday convenience.

Rounded joinery and bespoke cabinetry reflect a level of craftsmanship expected from an Italian shipyard with over four decades of heritage. While modern, the design avoids being stark by layering subtle wood tones and textures.

Helm and Technology

At the forward end of the salon is the main helm station, outfitted with Garmin’s full suite of navigational tech, including a surround camera system that offers a bird’s-eye view of the vessel—immensely helpful for docking or navigating tight marinas.

A touchscreen control panel supplements the dual MFDs, enabling intuitive management of onboard systems from lights to tank monitoring. IPS joystick control, bow thruster, and a side door adjacent to the helm make single-handed or owner-operator use extremely viable. With excellent sightlines and thoughtfully placed instrumentation, the helm is both commanding and approachable.

Cabin Layout and Accommodation

The Pardo Endurance 72 boasts a versatile four-cabin layout with separate stairways fore and aft for guest privacy.

Guest Cabins (Forward Stairwell):
Two nearly identical twin cabins are located midship, each with generous headroom, large hull windows, ample wardrobe space, and en suite facilities. The attention to detail continues here, with seamless lighting, thoughtful storage solutions, and the same elegant curvature found throughout the main deck.

VIP and Owner’s Suites (Aft Stairwell):
Moving aft, the VIP cabin features a queen walk-around bed, bespoke AV system, and a luxurious en suite with enclosed shower. It’s a calm, stylish space for friends or family.

The pièce de rĂ©sistance is the full-beam owner’s suite, where the emphasis is on luxury and livability. Wardrobes span one side, a vanity desk sits beneath hull windows, and twin basins in the en suite complement a rainfall shower enclosed behind pocket doors. Like the rest of the yacht, the space is filled with natural light and refined touches.

Day Head:
A dedicated day head adjacent to the VIP ensures guest convenience without invading private quarters—a small but welcome feature for entertaining aboard.

Crew Quarters and Overflow Cabin

Forward of the bow, accessed via a discrete hatch, is a small crew or overflow cabin. It’s a functional, self-contained space with twin bunks, laundry facilities, storage, and a wet room. While not designed for full-time crew, it’s ideal for occasional professional assistance or even family overflow—think teenage guests or a young couple.

Deck Spaces and Outdoor Living

The exterior design prioritizes safety, flow, and social interaction. Wide walkways keep you secure while moving forward, and recessed guardrails ensure you remain well within the footprint of the yacht.

The foredeck features a generous sunpad and seating area with convertible backrests, refrigeration, and life raft storage underneath. The entire area becomes another entertainment zone, perfect for sundowners or quiet morning coffee.

The flybridge is an expansive area that rivals larger yachts. With multiple lounging options, a full bar (complete with fridge, ice maker, teppanyaki grill, and sink), and a secondary helm station, it’s the natural gathering place underway or at anchor. A retractable bimini top provides sun protection, with a hardtop available as an optional upgrade.

Performance and Propulsion

The Pardo Endurance 72 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350s, the largest available option. These engines deliver a top speed of approximately 26 knots, but the design intention here is long-range cruising at comfortable, economical speeds.

Cruising between 18–20 knots provides a range of about 400 nautical miles, while throttling back to 6 knots pushes the range closer to 1,000 nautical miles. This flexibility allows owners to choose between speed and endurance, depending on their itinerary.

The yacht features IPS pod drives, renowned for their maneuverability and reduced noise and vibration. Also onboard is a gyro stabilizer, significantly enhancing onboard comfort both underway and at anchor.

In the engine room, clear organization and accessibility dominate. Fuel tanks include sight gauges for manual verification, and there are twin generators to ensure redundancy. This space isn’t just functional—it’s designed for usability, even by an owner-operator.

Tender Garage and Beach Club

Finally, the tender garage is located beneath the cockpit and can accommodate a RIB up to 3.7 meters. The hydraulic bathing platform makes tender deployment and retrieval straightforward while doubling as a swim platform. Additional refrigeration in the aft deck area enhances its utility as a beach club—a space where guests can transition seamlessly between sunbathing, swimming, and socializing.

Verdict: A Long-Range Mediterranean Dream

The Pardo Endurance 72 is a well-considered yacht that reflects the evolving tastes of modern yacht owners—people who want the autonomy of an owner-operator experience, the refinement of Italian design, and the ability to cruise farther, longer, and more comfortably.

This model doesn’t just chase trends—it defines them. From drop-down balconies and curved cabinetry to long-range capability and convertible deck spaces, it delivers the luxury lifestyle without compromising performance or practicality.

Whether cruising the Côte d’Azur, exploring the Greek islands, or simply weekend-hopping across the Balearics, the Endurance 72 promises serenity and sophistication in every nautical mile.
