Mark is a sailing yacht specialist with more than 30 years of technical and operational experience spanning brokerage, naval architecture, new-build supervision, and yacht management. For the past four years at TWW Yachts, he has focused on providing structured yacht management solutions, advising clients on asset acquisition, operational setup, regulatory compliance, budget control, and long-term value preservation.
Before joining TWW Yachts and relocating to Palma de Mallorca, Mark developed his expertise through a foundation in competitive and professional sailing. Beginning with regatta racing in southern England, including participation in Cowes Week, he advanced to international racing campaigns across multiple circuits. This practical sailing background is complemented by formal training in naval architecture, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of structural design, hydrodynamics, stability, and systems integration.
Mark has supervised new-build projects for both sailing and motor yachts, overseeing specification development, shipyard liaison, classification compliance, quality control, commissioning, and final delivery. His involvement extended beyond construction, as he later assumed command of several vessels, including the 35-metre Hoek-designed modern classic FIREFLY and the 36.4-metre PREFERENCE 19 (ex. BARTENDER). In these roles, he was responsible for technical management, crew leadership, maintenance planning, safety management systems, and operational budgeting.
This multidisciplinary background enables Mark to approach yacht management from both a technical and commercial perspective. He works closely with owners, captains, shipyards, surveyors, and flag administrations to ensure vessels are maintained to class and flag standards, operate within budget parameters, and meet both private and commercial objectives. His extensive international network and long-standing industry relationships allow him to coordinate complex refits, resolve technical challenges efficiently, and implement structured management programmes that optimise performance, compliance, and asset longevity.
