Adrian Gusman

Born and raised on the island of Malta, Adrian developed a deep connection to the sea from a very young age. Sailing has been an integral part of his life, and in 2004, he left the routine of shore-based life to pursue a career in the superyacht industry—a decision that marked the beginning of an extensive and rewarding maritime journey. Over the years, Adrian has sailed more than 125,000 nautical miles, gaining invaluable experience aboard a variety of large sailing yachts ranging from 24 to 60 meters across the globe. His dedication and hard work culminated in earning his MCA Master 500GT ticket in 2015.

In 2018, Adrian transitioned to shore-based work in the marine electric industry, where he focused on powertrain systems and energy propulsion converters, contributing to innovative solutions for electric energy storage and recharge systems.

Committed to professional growth, Adrian completed several diplomas through Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, specializing in Project Management, Naval Architecture, Maritime Surveying & ISM, Ship Management, and Superyacht Operations. His academic achievements also include a Master of Science degree in Maritime Surveying, further enhancing his expertise in the maritime field.

Adrian is a passionate and versatile professional with over 20 years of experience in the yachting industry, spanning onboard operations, yacht production, and maritime education. Prior to joining the TWW team, he also lectured, sharing his maritime knowledge and practical experience with the next generation of industry professionals.

Beyond his professional achievements, Adrian enjoys activities that reflect his lifelong bond with the sea and the great outdoors. A PADI-certified Divemaster, he enjoys sailing, scuba diving, athletic swimming, photography, hiking, reading, and travelling. Whether on or around the water, Adrian’s passion for adventure and the natural world remains at the core of both his personal and professional life.
