Day 1

Venice

Your journey begins in the romantic and historic city of Venice, where you depart the iconic Grand Canal and head south along the Adriatic coast. After a gentle sail of around 60 nautical miles, you arrive in Ravenna, known for its exquisite Byzantine mosaics and peaceful old-town charm. Spend the afternoon exploring the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, and the Neonian Baptistery, all UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Emilia-Romagna dinner and prepare for your first night.

Day 2

Ancona

Continue your coastal voyage to Ancona, the capital of the Marche region, a journey of about 65 nautical miles. Upon arrival, dock at Marina Dorica and explore the town’s rich Roman and medieval history. Walk up to the Ancona Cathedral for panoramic views over the sea, stroll through Piazza del Plebiscito, and visit the Arco di Traiano, a Roman triumphal arch at the old port. As evening falls, enjoy freshly caught Adriatic seafood at one of the marina’s excellent restaurants.

Day 3

VIeste

This day features a longer offshore cruise of approximately 110 nautical miles as you make your way to Vieste, located on the stunning Gargano Peninsula. Arriving in the late afternoon, you’ll find yourself welcomed by dramatic white limestone cliffs and a picturesque old town. Visit Vieste Cathedral, wander the maze-like streets, and enjoy views of the sea from the Castello Svevo. Don’t miss the sea caves nearby or a swim off the sandy beach at Spiaggia del Castello, overlooked by the towering rock monolith Pizzomunno.

Day 4

Bari

Sail southeast to Bari, the bustling capital of Apulia, in a journey of about 65 nautical miles. Upon arrival at Marina di Bari, step into the atmospheric Bari Vecchia, the city’s old town. Visit the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, a sacred site for both Catholics and Orthodox Christians, and explore the Swabian Castle and the charming alleys filled with locals making handmade orecchiette pasta. In the evening, dine on local Puglian specialties and enjoy Bari’s vibrant nightlife.

Day 5

Vis

Prepare for your international crossing from Italy to Croatia, sailing about 110 nautical miles across the Adriatic to the tranquil island of Vis. Once a Yugoslav naval base and long closed to foreigners, Vis is now known for its authenticity and serenity. Dock in Komiža or Vis Town and take time to relax or explore the inland vineyards. If time allows, book an evening wine tasting at a family-run cellar or dine at a konoba overlooking the bay.

Day 6

Vis

Spend the day discovering the best of Vis Island. Visit the stunning Blue Cave on Biševo Island, best viewed at midday when sunlight floods the cave with a magical blue glow. Explore the island’s fascinating military history with a tour of former submarine tunnels and bunkers. Take a scenic drive to Stiniva Beach, a hidden pebble cove accessible by foot or boat. In the evening, enjoy local seafood and the island’s renowned Vugava wine.

Wander through the marble streets of the old town, visit the Franciscan Monastery, and enjoy stylish cafes and beach bars. For nightlife, Hvar offers some of the liveliest venues on the Adriatic.

Day 8

Alternatively, head to Milna, a quiet and charming harbor village known for its stone houses and laid-back feel. Enjoy a peaceful evening with traditional Dalmatian cuisine and a walk along the pine-fringed waterfront.

End the day with a sunset dinner overlooking the sea.

Day 10

Zadar

Sail further north to Zadar, known for its rich Roman heritage and artistic spirit. Upon arrival, visit the Roman Forum, the Church of St. Donatus, and the Sea Organ, an architectural sound art installation that plays music using sea waves. Don’t miss the Greeting to the Sun, a solar-powered light display that glows at night. Stroll the lively promenade and enjoy a cocktail as you watch what Alfred Hitchcock once called “the most beautiful sunset in the world.”

Day 11

Mali Lošinj

Sail to the green island of Mali Lošinj, renowned for its fragrant pine forests and dolphin-rich waters. Walk through the historic harbor town, visit the Museum of Apoxyomenos (home to a restored 2,000-year-old bronze athlete statue), or rent bikes to explore quiet inland trails. This is a day to reconnect with nature and enjoy the peaceful charm of a lesser-known Croatian gem.

Day 12

Rovinj

Day 14

Venice

Cruise back into the Venetian Lagoon, passing colorful islands like Murano and Burano. Arrive at your final destination and dock at Marina Sant’Elena or Cala del Moro.
