Day 1

Alotau

After arriving from Alotau, you will board at the Driftwood Resort. You’ll have time for some light refreshments before setting off on a short journey to the picturesque Samarai archipelago. The yacht will anchor in a secluded bay, just meters from a white sand beach.

Day 2

Samari island

Today, you have the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of a local pearl farm, where you can purchase high-quality pearls at farm prices. In the afternoon, you can choose between a diving excursion or a fishing trip.

Day 3

Basilaki

Next, anchor off the volcanic island of Basilaki, located east of the Samari Islands. Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to dive spectacular reefs and explore the wreckage of a WWII P-38 Lightning fighter plane.

Day 4

Daiwari Island

Then, cruise 20 nautical miles north to your next anchorage at Daiwari Island. This stunning islet, covering less than a square kilometer, features white sand beaches and offers opportunities to dive with Hammerhead, Silver Tip, and Grey Reef sharks. You can enjoy dinner on deck under the stars or on one of the many secluded beaches.

Day 5

Hiliwau

A three-hour cruise brings the yacht back to the mainland at Hiliwau for a day of exploration. Head ashore to immerse yourself in the rich culture and heritage of Papua New Guinea with a visit to a local village and a traditional dance display. For the daring, a short trek leads to the Skull Cave, filled with human skulls from ancient rituals. For the more adventurous, a 30-minute jungle trek offers stunning photo opportunities and leads to a beautiful, secluded waterfall. In the afternoon, the crew will guide you on a snorkeling exploration to discover some of the world’s most pristine coral gardens.

Day 6

Normanby Island

Embark on a three-hour cruise to Normanby Island, one of the largest in the volcanic D’Entrecasteaux Islands. The island is home to an abundance of Birds of Paradise. Here, you can trek through the jungle to spot these beautiful endemic species, along with a rich variety of native flora.

Day 7

Engineer Islands

Next, we head to the stunning Engineer Islands, known for their kaleidoscopic coral reefs. Anchoring within a tropical lagoon, you’ll discover fantastic opportunities for diving, snorkeling, and paddleboarding in every direction.

Day 8

After enjoying a final breakfast served on deck, we will return to the mainland. Upon disembarking at the Driftwood Resort, your transfer will be ready to take you to Alotau for your flight home.
