Day 1

Tromsø

Catch a glimpse of the stunning Arctic Cathedral as you fly into town over the Tromsdalen Valley. Spend the morning shopping in Storgata, Tromsø’s downtown district, before lunch at the gourmet fish restaurant Fiskekompaniet. For those with a thrill for heights, take a ride on the Fjellheisen cable car, rising 420m up the Storsteinen ridge for a birds-eye view of the glittering city below. After you’ve finished sightseeing for the day, board your yacht at the Prostneset dock and meet your captain and crew. You’ll spend your first evening onboard in Tromsø’s sheltered bay, hoping to catch a spectacular nighttime display.

Day 2

Lyngen Alps

The Lyngen Alps, just a couple of hours east of Tromsø, offer some of the best skiing touring in Scandinavia. This alpine mountain range is unique and completely unspoiled, making it an ideal playground for winter sports enthusiasts. Spend the second day of your charter exploring the backcountry of Lyngen National Park with the assistance of a professional guide, uncovering its secret pristine slopes and breathtaking scenery. This is one outdoor adventure you won’t forget, with excellent snow conditions and the possibility of skiing under the Northern Lights.

Day 3

Finnsnes

Depart Tromsø early in the morning for the nearby village of Finnsnes. Your yacht will drop anchor off the coast, freeing you to explore the beautiful Målselv region inland. For those keen to stretch their legs, spend the day snowshoeing through snowy valleys and breathing in the crisp air. For those still wanting to experience the beauties of Finnsnes without the hike, embark on a husky safari to discover the region’s spectacular landscapes from the comfort of your very own dog sled.

Day 4

Senja

Norway’s second largest island, Senja was designed for ski touring with its endless snowy peaks. Climb to nearly 1000m altitude and enjoy panoramic views of this arctic paradise while skiing or snowboarding through fresh powder that will lead you right back down to sea level. Hire a professional guide and go off-piste to discover untracked snow in your private winter wonderland, or take on Senja’s 5km of cross-country ski tracks. Whether it’s exploring untouched Norwegian snow or winding your way around Mefjordvaer past lakes and mountains, this is undoubtedly the best way to spend the day.

Day 5

Brostadbotn

Board your luxury yacht, and leaving the Målselv region behind you head north to the small town of Brostadbotn. Keep an eye out for majestic eagles and kittiwakes circling the yacht in the sky above as you cruise through the Solbergfjorden. Charter guests often like to visit the traditional wooden chapels in the countryside around Brostadbotn, before spending the afternoon kayaking through the tranquil waters of the Dyrøysundet strait with its impressive 570-metre long cantilever bridge.

Day 6

Krøttøya

The tiny island of Krøttøya, located in the Meløyvaer archipelago, is your next destination. Once part of the kingdom of the infamous Viking warrior Tore Hund, Krøttøya is only 1.3 kilometres squared and solely accessible by boat. Take the chance to get up close and personal with Norway’s largest residents: Krøttøya is one of the best places in the Scandinavian Peninsula for whale watching. Spend an unforgettable day aboard your yacht, spotting pods of sperm whales and pilot whales swimming in the icy waters of the Andfjorden. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will be sure to leave you spellbound as you observe these majestic mammals in their natural environment.

Day 7

Ibestad

From Krøttøya, admire the views from your private yacht as you head for the island of Ibestad. Comprised of two picturesque islands, Andrøja and Rolla, Ibestad is an ideal destination for nature lovers with its towering mountains and distinctive fjords. Explore Åmen on the west coast of Rolla, a former pirates cave only reachable by boat, before going ashore to spend a relaxing afternoon hiking through the glorious Norwegian countryside.

Day 8

Fjelldal

Say goodbye to Ibestad and proceed south to the village of Fjelldal. A fishing village on the eastern bank of the Tjeldsundet strait, Fjelldal is known for its charming wooden chapel from the 1960s, which guests are welcome to explore. Because of the dark skies and low light pollution in Fjelldal, it’s a great place to see the Aurora Borealis. Enjoy an al fresco dinner cooked by your private chef, and then spend the evening stargazing on the upper deck as your yacht prepares to set sail for the night.

Day 9

Å

After cruising through the night, you’ll wake up on Day 9 to find yourself in Å. A picturesque village on the southern tip of the Lofoten Islands, Å is situated between a lake and the North Sea. The village, which was once a bustling fishing port, has most of its traditional wooden huts built on stilts overlooking the water and makes for a stunning sight. For those interested in the culture of the area, Å is home to two fishing museums that provide insight into the island’s history. After a day of exploring, dine in the private dining room at Brygga restaurant, serving traditional Norwegian cuisine and stunning views of the bay below.

Day 10

Svolvaer

The final stop on your luxury yacht charter, Svolvaer is the capital of the Lofoten Islands. Founded in the 16th Century, this small city is a busy port with an impressive collection of restaurants, art galleries, and museums. Spend your final day in Norway exploring nearby Trollfjord, a narrow fjord surrounded by mountains and lined with waterfalls. Cruise through the 2km fjord in your tender, home to a large population of sea eagles. After a nature-filled day, return to town for dinner and drinks at Børsen Spiseri, a traditional seafood restaurant complete with its own museum. Gaze out to sea and toast the end of your arctic adventure and all its unforgettable memories.
