Day 1

Hamilton Island

Fly into the small airport on Hamilton Island, or alternatively charter a private jet from Brisbane (1.5 hours), Sydney, or Melbourne international airports. Meet your yacht at Abell Point Marina, only 40 kilometers from Proserpine. Despite its small size, Hamilton Island is the largest inhabited island in the Whitsundays. A lunch or dinner at the stunning Yacht Club is a great way to start the holiday, followed by a short walk around the island to explore your surroundings. For guests who fancy a dip, cruise around to Perseverance Reef or Dent Island for the first swim and snorkel.
Day 2

Neck Bay

Neck Bay, located in the Lindeman Group, is a Captain’s favourite and will most likely be your first secluded experience in the Whitsundays. The coast between Shaw and Lindeman Islands is known for its fantastic snorkeling, home to 1,500 species of fish, 360 species of hard coral and one-third of the world’s soft corals. Marvel at this natural paradise, with 600 species of echinoderm (e.g. starfish), 22 species of seabirds, 6 species of threatened marine turtles, and 30 species of cetaceans.
Day 3

The Narrows and Cid Island

After a glorious evening in Neck Bay, wake up to a tropical sunrise and head west towards Long Island. Cruise the Long Island Sound, an exclusive passage that will immerse you in lush bushland descending into the ocean and creating the perfect color palette. Continue to Cid Island, where kayaking through the mangroves is a popular afternoon activity. Katoomba Bank, in the north of the island, provides a stunning backdrop for some breathtaking sunsets before we anchor in front of Hill Rock Reef or Cid Harbour for a quiet evening and overnight.
Day 5

Whitsunday and Hook Island

Start the day walking up the trail to Whitsunday Peak, a 1.5 hour hike to enjoy breathtaking views of Cid Harbour. Back onboard, water sports enthusiasts can enjoy an afternoon of fun along Whitsunday Island’s west coast, where Jet-skis and other personal watercraft are permitted. After an adrenaline packed day, cruise to Hook Island for our next overnight stop. Separated from Whitsunday Island by a narrow, deep passage, Hook Island combines a “wilderness” resort with soul-refreshing forest walks, clear blue waters, and white silica beaches. For an insight into local culture, visit Aboriginal rock art of the Ngaro people at Nara Inlet.
Day 6

Hayman Island to Outer Reef

We leave Hook Island in the direction of Langford Island or Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island. At low tide, the western area of Langford Island reveals a stunning sandbank ideal for a beach barbecue. Blue Pearl Bay, on the other hand, will provide some of the best swimming and snorkeling in the area, surrounded by abundant coral life. After lunch, we return to Hook Island to explore its northern tip. Butterfly Bay’s underwater world is covered in coral outcrops and rubble with shallow walls, and is home to a plethora of small colorful reef fish species.
Day 8

Hardy and Hook Reefs

Dive into the azure blue and see what the Australian outer reef has to offer! Trevally, Coral Trout, Snapper, and a variety of smaller marine life, as well as Giant Maori Wrasse and a two-meter-long Giant Queensland Groper, congregate for a free feed. Snorkeling is fantastic, as is diving off nearby drop-offs, where you can see turtles, reef sharks, and barracuda, among many other fascinating reef species. Experience the vertical waterfalls with your yacht tender as the tide drops by 2 to 3 meters. Spend the nights gazing up at spectacular stars, or down at abundant marine life calmly inhabiting the waters around you. Embrace the uninhabited area and feel the pull of nature.
Day 10

Dumbell Island and Whitehaven Beach

The last day of your charter will have come too quickly, and we will first visit Dumbell Island, home to a wide variety of birds including sea eagles which can be fed from the aft deck. The first signs that the world-famous Whitehaven is approaching appear 6nm South. Take a hike up Hill Inlet before arriving at this unique and sought-after sight: the inlet below you is a striking mix of aqua and white swirls as the island’s famed sands shift through the waters, creating beautiful patterns. From here, we take a cruise to Hamilton Island just around the corner.
