Departing from Alimos Marina in Athens, you’ll explore the island of Aegina, known for its pistachios and ancient ruins, and then cruise to the elegant, car-free island of Hydra, where time seems to stand still. Enjoy sun-soaked afternoons, quaint harbors, and authentic Greek hospitality as you experience a tranquil taste of the Aegean — all within a short distance from the mainland.

Day 1

Athens

Begin your adventure with a morning departure from Alimos Marina, one of the largest marinas in the Athens area. After a relaxed 3–4 hour sail, you’ll arrive in Aegina, an island famous for its pistachio groves, neoclassical port town, and historic significance. Once docked in Aegina Town, visit the Temple of Aphaia, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Greece, perched on a hill with stunning sea views. In the afternoon, stroll the lively waterfront lined with tavernas, or rent a bike to explore charming inland villages. Don’t leave without tasting local pistachio sweets or ice cream. Enjoy dinner at a seaside restaurant with fresh octopus and a sunset over the Saronic Gulf.

Day 2

Hydra

Sail south to the island of Hydra, one of Greece’s most unique and romantic destinations. With no cars allowed, donkeys and water taxis are the main forms of transport. Arriving in Hydra Town, you’ll be greeted by a crescent-shaped harbor filled with fishing boats, cafes, and grand stone mansions. Spend your day walking Hydra’s cobbled streets, visiting the Historical Archives Museum, and exploring the island’s monasteries and art galleries. For swimming, take a short walk or boat ride to Vlychos Beach, a quiet pebbled cove with crystal-clear water. As evening falls, dine at a cliffside taverna or sip wine by the port, watching the twinkling lights dance across the water.

Day 3

Perdika

Begin your return leg with a sail back toward Aegina, stopping this time at the peaceful village of Perdika, located on the island’s southwestern coast. This small fishing village offers a tranquil contrast to Aegina Town. Swim in the calm waters of Sarpas Bay or take a short dinghy ride to the nearby uninhabited islet of Moni, a nature reserve home to deer and peacocks. In the evening, dine at a waterside tavern famous for its freshly caught seafood, enjoying a slow, relaxed pace in this local-favorite harbor.

Day 4

Athens

On your final morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a last swim before setting sail back to Alimos Marina. As you cruise toward Athens, take in the panoramic views of the Saronic Gulf and reflect on the beauty and simplicity of your Aegean escape. Return in the afternoon, dock your yacht, and close your journey with a final evening in Athens — perhaps with dinner in Plaka under the glow of the Acropolis.
