Day 1

Ketchikan

Begin your adventure in Ketchikan, known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and the southernmost entrance to Alaska’s famed Inside Passage. After boarding your yacht, take time to explore the colorful waterfront district. Walk along the historic Creek Street, a boardwalk perched above the creek that was once the town’s infamous red-light district but now houses boutique shops and art galleries. Visit the Totem Heritage Center, home to one of the world’s largest collections of unrestored 19th-century totem poles. Here, you’ll learn about the rich cultural traditions of the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian peoples. If time allows, take a short hike to Deer Mountain Trail for sweeping views of the town and surrounding waters. In the evening, dine at a waterfront restaurant and savor a meal featuring freshly caught Alaskan salmon, halibut, or Dungeness crab. Spend the night anchored near Ketchikan or at the nearby secluded Ward Cove, where you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature under the northern twilight sky.
Day 2

Misty Fjords National Monument

After breakfast, set sail for the awe-inspiring Misty Fjords National Monument, a designated wilderness area spanning over two million acres of pristine landscapes. As you enter this majestic natural sanctuary, you’ll be surrounded by towering granite cliffs, lush temperate rainforests, and cascading waterfalls that plunge directly into the emerald waters. Navigate toward Rudyerd Bay, one of the most picturesque inlets in the monument. Here, the fjords are often shrouded in a mystical mist, creating an ethereal and unforgettable scene. Launch your kayak or small tender to explore narrow inlets and hidden coves up close. Glide past sheer cliffs rising over 3,000 feet from the water and watch for harbor seals lounging on rocky outcrops and bald eagles perched high in the towering spruce trees. Keep your eyes on the water; this area is known for frequent sightings of humpback whales, orcas, and porpoises. In the late afternoon, return to your yacht for a relaxing evening on deck, enjoying the untouched serenity of the Alaskan wilderness as the sun sets behind the mountains.
Day 3

Prince of Wales Island

On your final day, head southwest to Prince of Wales Island, one of the largest islands in the United States and home to some of Alaska’s most untouched and diverse landscapes. With over 900 miles of winding coastline, this island is a paradise for explorers. Spend the morning navigating through secluded bays and channels, ideal for spotting wildlife. Keep your binoculars handy as this area is rich in bald eagles, black bears, Sitka deer, and even the occasional wolf. Anchor near Kasaan Bay to visit the traditional Haida Village of Kasaan, where you can tour the historic Chief Son-i-Hat Whale House and see beautifully carved totem poles standing silently in the forest. Alternatively, explore the island’s pristine beaches and tidal pools along Sandy Beach or try your hand at fishing in the island’s salmon-rich waters. In the afternoon, begin your return cruise back to Ketchikan, taking in the final views of Alaska’s majestic landscapes. Arrive in the evening with memories of breathtaking fjords, rich cultural experiences, and incredible encounters with wildlife.
