Day 1

Juneau

Begin your yacht charter in Juneau, Alaska’s capital. Take the tram up Mount Roberts for a panoramic view of the city, and enjoy a helicopter tour to Mendenhall Glacier during the extended daylight hours. Experience the thrill of dog sledding across the glacier at a husky training camp.

Day 2

Tracy Arm

The yacht will head south towards Tracy Arm, home to the North and South Sawyer Glaciers, known for their dramatic ice calving. Be ready to capture this natural spectacle with your camera. Explore the bay’s impressive icebergs up close using the yacht’s tender. You will anchor for the night in Wood Spit Cove.

Day 3

Dawes Glacier

The yacht will navigate to Dawes Glacier, where you’ll witness large ice chunks calving into the fjord and seals resting on ice floes. Enjoy lunch on board with the stunning Fords Terror fjord as your backdrop. In the late afternoon, return to Wood Spit Cove for an evening of boating or fishing. Keep an ear out for the humpback whales in nearby Holkham Bay and an eye on the shore for black bears venturing to the beach.

Day 4

Frederick Sound

As the yacht sails south into Frederick Sound, you’ll have the opportunity to observe humpback whales. You can choose to drift among them quietly with the yacht’s engines off, or for a closer look, take the tender. Following this, anchor in Cannery Cove, where you can spot brown bears foraging along the coast.

Day 5

Red Bluff Bay

The yacht will enter Red Bluff Bay, surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and ice fields. Kayak near the waterfalls and observe bears fishing for salmon, particularly in August. This area is also ideal for setting pots to catch fresh Dungeness crab and shrimp. You can choose to catch your dinner yourself or let the crew handle it for you.

Day 6

Baranof Warm Springs

Head to Baranof Warm Springs, situated near Chatham Strait and beside a stunning 30-meter waterfall. The area features nine hot springs, with temperatures up to 48°C. Relax in these warm waters with a glass of champagne. For those still craving adventure, try fishing for leopard rainbow trout in the nearby river.

Day 7

Chatham Starait

Cruise north along the Chatham Strait to Tenakee Springs, known for its bakery’s renowned cinnamon rolls. Explore the town, visit local art galleries, or enjoy hiking and biking on the surrounding logging trails. Anchor overnight in the picturesque Pavlof Harbor, an excellent location for bear watching. The following morning, return to Juneau for your departure.
