Make the best of your 15 Day Yacht Charter Cannes with our Cannes to Amalfi yacht charter itinerary.

Day 1

Cannes

Your charter starts in the glorious Cannes, a glamourous seaside town that has become a haven for those looking to escape in unrivalled luxury. Like Monaco, Cannes has been famed as a playground for millionaires since the 1950’s, and also for hosting the glittering film festival in May every year. Enjoy an early lunch at La Palme D’Or before stepping on board your charter yacht, where you will be introduced to your dedicated crew who offer a 6-star service.

Day 2

St Tropez

Brought into the spotlight by Brigitte Bardot in the 1950’s in the movie Et Dieu Crea la Femme (And God Created Woman – 1956), St Tropez has, since then, been transformed into a hedonistic haven of glamour and elegance, without losing its charm as a Mediterranean fishing village. This iconic destination is brimming with exclusive restaurants and bars, designer boutiques and pastel-coloured houses. For those wanting a more tranquil afternoon, stroll along the cobbled lanes in the old fishing village quarter of La Ponche or take a long walk from beach to beach via the coastal path.

Day 3

Monaco

Next up is Monaco, the world’s second-smallest country located on the French Riviera. What Monaco lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in attitude, status and glamour. Acting as a magnet for the rich and famous since the early 20th Century, this hedonistic paradise is lined with world-class restaurants, extraordinarily luxurious hotels and, of course, superyachts. It is nearly entirely made up of pedestrian alleys and tunnels, where residences from the previous century may still be found. You can visit the Prince’s Monaco Palace and watch the “Carabiniers” perform the changing of the guard ceremonial daily at 11:55 a.m.

Day 4

Portofino

Even the trees are handsome in Portofino! This small but perfectly coiffured coastal village is perched on its very own peninsula, upping the exclusivity factor by mere geography. Hotels here are hushed with exquisitely trained staff, and a drink by Portofino’s yacht-filled harbour or a stroll around its designer shops are a pleasure. Explore Portofino before experiencing the tranquility of the area from the deck of your yacht.

Day 5

Portovenere

Portovenere is an ancient and hidden secret of the Italian Riviera, dating back to the middle of the first century BC. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the town is a beautiful, scenic day trip destination or a relaxing base for exploring the coast. Weekends and summer evenings draw Ligurians from far and wide for the passeggiata, despite its serenity in compared to its Cinque Terre neighbor. Forte Dei Marmi is one of the most fashionable towns in the Versilia. A style landmark since the 1960s, discover gorgeous beaches, elegant houses steeped in pine trees and the impressive Apuan Alps, which serve as a majestic backdrop behind the town.

Day 6

Isola d'Elba

Napoleon would think twice about fleeing Elba today! Dramatically different from when the emperor was exiled here in 1814, the island is an ever-glorious paradise of beach-laced coves, vineyards, azure waters, hairpin-bend motoring and panoramic views from the 1018m Monte Capanne. All supplemented by a fine seafaring cuisine and lovely island wines, Elba is something of a Robinson Crusoe paradise. In springtime, early summer and autumn, when grapes and olives are harvested, there are plenty of tranquil nooks on this stunningly picturesque, 28 km-long, 19 km-wide island.

Day 7

Porto Vecchio

Shamelessly seductive and fashionable, Porto Vecchio is dubbed the Corsican St-Tropez and on close inspection it’s not hard to see why. Sitting in a fabulous bay, the city features picturesque back streets lined with restaurant terraces, cafes and designer shops to while away glorious hours on the Italian Riviera. Referred to as the ’Pearl of the South’, Porto Vecchio offers visitors narrow medieval streets inside the walled city, photogenic ruins of an old Genoese citadel and an air of sophistication. Although there’s no beach in Porto-Vecchio itself, take a short cruise to some of Corsica’s finest beaches close by.

Day 8

Bonifacio

Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins as you cruise down to the southernmost tip of Corsica and enter the idyllic port of Bonifacio. An ancient fortress town, Bonifacio is centred around a citadel perched atop imposing limestone cliffs. Reach the old town from the marina via a steep, winding footpath and spend your day exploring chapels, ramshackle medieval houses and romantic hidden alleyways. Due to its proximity to Sardinia, you’re likely to notice an Italian ambiance in the air. Spend the evening in a local restaurant or to head back to your yacht for a sumptuous meal prepared by your private chef and inspired by locally sourced fresh produce.

Day 9

Lavezzi & Cavallo Islands

The Lavezzi Islands are a turquoise paradise known for their cerulean, crystal-clear waters, beaches and rivers, towering granite rocks, and wild landscapes. Lavezzi is the most accessible of the archipelago, with both itself and Cavallo offering world-class snorkeling. For those wishing to explore onland, visit Lavezzi’s stunning natural reserve teeming with crested cormorants. Cavallo, the only inhabited island, is snuggled safely between Corsica and Sardinia and breathtakingly beautiful. Here, privacy and tranquillity will give you the chance to switch off and truly relax.

Day 10

Maddalena

The next stop of your yacht charter takes you along the stunning coast of Sardinia, anchoring when you reach the vibrant Islands of Maddalena. Established in 1996, the archipelago consists of seven main islands and a multitude of uninhabited islets off Sardinia’s north eastern coast. The main islands are in fact high points of a large valley, the low points of which are underwater. Admire the rugged seascapes as you explore heavenly turquoise lagoons and deserted beaches only accessible by boat. For those seeking sustenance, visit one of the islands’ waterside trattorias for a crisp drink and take in the scenery around you.

Day 11

Tavolara & Molara Islands

Tavolara, barely 5km long and 1km wide, has a decorated history as the world’s smallest monarchy in the 19th and 20th century. Rising dramatically from the Tyrrhenian Sea, this rocky outcrop island captures the interest of curious travelers with its ragged, natural landscapes, lovely beaches and spectacular view from a 556m peak. Molara, on the other hand, is smaller but nonetheless stunning with an abundance of natural pools to bathe in crystal-clear waters. Cruise around these distinct islands on your yacht charter and discover the natural beauty of Sardinia.

Day 12

Isola Palmarola & Isola di Ponza

Defined by Jacques Cousteau as one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Palmarola is uninhabited bar only one seasonal restaurant serving the yachts, and the ultra-luxurious villa of Fendi. The island of Ponza is adorned with spectacular natural sights: sea carved grottoes and white and blue-grey cliffs, surrounded by emerald and turquoise-coloured waters. In the main town, pastel-hued houses lead away from the tiny fishing harbour, and a maze of alleys hide quaint trattorias and cafés.

Day 13

Capri

The island of Capri epitomises Mediterranean natural beauty at its finest. Steep cliffs rise majestically from a sparkling blue sea, wisteria and bougainvillea cover the elegant villas and an ambience of tranquil calm permeates the air. Whilst known for a sophisticated hedonism, having been made famous by the rich and famous in the ‘50’s, the quiet coves, balmy climate and rugged scenery provides a juxtaposition that leaves visitors feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated.

Day 14

Positano

Located at the heart of the Amalfi Coast, what was once a quiet fishing village is now a dashing and deluxe hotspot. With traditional old houses scattered along the cliffs to the sea in a veil of pink, terracotta and peach, narrow, winding streets laced with wisteria, 5* restaurants and designer retailers, Positano truly epitomises the glamour expected of Italy’s southern coast. The fashion history runs deep in Positano: the town was the first in Italy to import bikinis from France and is the ideal spot for some retail therapy. The surrounding islets are equally steeped in history and culture, so don’t miss the chance to visit Li Galli or Gallo Lungo by tender in the afternoon.

Day 15

Amalfi

Appropriately named the ‘Pearl of the Amalfi Coast’, Amalfi’s green forests, azure seas and whitewashed buildings make it an iconic stop on your luxury yacht charter. Despite many of the historical buildings of the old city having diminished into the sea during an earthquake in 1343, the town exudes history and culture and is waiting to be explored. For those so inclined, the magical Byzantine inspired cathedral still stands tall and is definitely worth a visit. Anchor in the bay and explore the cobbled streets of Amalfi, with its sun-filled piazzas filled with the aromas of fresh coffee, jasmine and lemons.
