Sole Engineer - 40m M/Y - Charter

We are currently seeking a Permanent Chief Engineer to join a 40m Charter Motor Yacht.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations and maintenance of a 40-metre Motor Yacht, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on a well structured vessel, providing technical leadership and ensuring the vessel remains in optimal condition for private and charter purposes. The vessel runs with a crew of 8 and will require a hands on Chief engineer that is able to get their hands dirty, willing t help in other departments and is a true team player. The owner of the vessel intends to charter the vessel throughout the Med summer, its home berth will be in Monaco.

Please note:

– The Captain if open to an engineer that has recently completed their Y$ ticket, he is more focused on attitude and willingness to learn than experience.

– This role is due to start the beginning of January 2026 as the vessel is currently being shipped to the Med.

Candidate requirements:

• Y4 Chief Engineer qualification is essential.
• Valid STCW and ENG1.
• Proven experience on motor yachts around 36m-40m, preferably Sunseeker vessels.
• Strong technical knowledge of yacht systems, including propulsion, HVAC, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Prior experience managing vessel maintenance and overseeing technical operations.
• Knowledge of vessel certification and survey requirements.
• Experience with shipyard works, project planning, and vessel refurbishment tasks.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with crew and external contractors.
• Fluency in English

• Salary: €8,000 – 9,000 pcm (DOE)
