Amalfi Coast Yacht Charter

Your charter will begin in the capital city of Italy, Rome. A heady combination of ancient ruins, aweinspiring art and exciting, cosmopolitan street life, it’s no surprise that Rome is known as one of the world’s most vibrant and romantic cities. The Colosseum, Pantheon and Roman Forum are unmissable ancient icons, all of which magically recall the city’s golden age as ‘caput mundi’ – capital of the world. The lavish Baroque style of the city is encapsulated in its ornate piazzas and pretty fountains. Spend some time exploring before heading on board your yacht to meet the crew.

Amalfi Coast Charter Guide

In a previous life, Monte Argentario was an island off the coast of Tuscany. It is now connected to the mainland by three narrow sandbars, each 6km long. For those looking to combine both sea and mountain activities, the rugged landscape offered by Monte Argentario is ideal. The two main towns, Porto Santo and Porto Ercole are very different in overall atmosphere – Porto Santo is far more developed and buzzing, whereas Porto Ercole is a peaceful fishing village with a pretty harbour, three historic ports and a long sandy beach for your stroll.

Arcipelago Toscano

The little-known gems of the coastline of Tuscany range from tiny Gorgona, at 2.23 square kilometres, to the largest and most populated island, Elba, at 224 square kilometres. Legend tells that when Venus rose from the waves, seven precious stones fell from her tiara, creating the seven islands that make up the Archipelago Toscano.

Ponza

The small island of Ponza is the next stop on your charter. This island denotes a slower pace of life, with a rustic, unspoilt and undeveloped landscape. The tiny town clings to the rugged cliffs, led to by a cascade of steps and narrow passageways from the harbour, the views from which are beautiful, if not a little startling for those concerned by heights.

The high season is July and August.

Most of the Amalfi Coast yacht charters will start in Naples, before embarking on a great cruise around the nearby islands:

- Naples - The birthplace of pizza and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a stroll along the lovely ‘Lungo.
- Ischia - The biggest island in the Bay of Naples and home to the famed hot springs.
- Capri - Only reachable via boat, this is arguably the most desirable island on the coast due to its natural beauty. Explore the Grotta Bianca, Natural
- Arch, Faraglioni rocks and the bay of Marina Piccola before retiring to watch the sunset.
- Positano - A hidden gem nestled in the coastline and formed of pretty villages and great spots for watersports.
