The BGM75, the first model of the range, does not truly enter the multihull segment, but rather creates a new, parallel segment that is very different from the existing multihulls on the market. Consistent with the positioning of the Sanlorenzo Group, she is primarily a luxurious, beautiful motor yacht that “by chance” has two hulls. Even in this final characteristic, however, it cannot be compared to any other catamaran on the market. Primarily because, at first glance, the shape of the boat departs from the “boxy” shape of a catamaran in preference of a ratio between beam and length closer to that of a monohull, due to the reduced width. This enables the horizontal surfaces between the two hulls to connect, creating a single volume as if it were a monohull, but with larger spaces and the possibility of a full-beam owner’s cabin with exceptional dimensions. This configuration is not feasible on traditional catamarans, as the two hulls are too far apart to permit the aforementioned connection and are arranged separately within each hull. Due to the length-to-width ratio, the BGM75 cannot be compared to conventional catamarans where the two hulls are visibly separated when viewed from the aft.
