Day 1

Sorong

Papua’s second-largest city of Sorong is located at the Vogelkop’s northernmost tip. A busy port and regional hub for oil and logging operations, few visitors stay in Sorong longer than it takes to board a boat to the Raja Ampat Islands. However, for those in the know, Sorong can be entertaining for a day or two and there are some interesting destinations nearby. After settling in onboard, the picturesque island of Mioskon in Kri will be the first stop on your luxury yacht charter. This location is known as one of the last frontiers for divers and is a true slice of paradise.

Day 2

Kri Island

The diversity of marine life in the seas around Raja Ampat and its vast, largely pristine coral reef systems are the dreams come true of divers and snorkelers. The Kri peninsula has an enviable reputation for its vibrant coral and accompanying marine life, and its crystal-clear waters offer some of the best underwater views in Raja Ampat. Home to a plethora of colorful fish, turtles, and even some spectacular manta rays, Kri Island is ideal for casual snorkeling.

Day 3

Wayag Islands

Immerse yourself in breathtaking scenery as you cruise through the Dampier Straight to these small, uninhabited islands. In the Raja Ampat district of West Papua’s province, Wayag Island and its surrounding seas span 155,000 hectares and are known for beautiful atolls and amazing underwater life. Stroll along pristine beaches and spot the unique Karst islands from the decks of your yacht. Gaze down through a window into a different world; the clear waters of Wayag Island are teeming with wildlife, and whether hiking on land or sampling water toys in the sea, this destination will be sure to impress.

Day 4

Day 5

Penemu Islands

Cruise over to the uninhabited Penemu Islands and keep an eye out for “Hidden Bay.” The entrance might be easy to miss, but once inside you will be stunned by its rugged cliffs and pretty rock islets. The steep cliffs north of Hidden Bay are punctuated by some very pretty, unspoiled beaches with good snorkeling opportunities. Grab your kayak or paddle board, as this is the best way to explore the stunning collection of limestone islands, their endless islets and calm coves. For those who prefer the mainland, a well-marked walking trail leads to an unrivaled observation point with views over the magnificent lagoons below.

Day 6

Kabui Passage

Waigeo and Gam are separated by a narrow channel called the Kabui Passage, nearly one nautical mile long. As the lush foliage is reflected in the still waters, cruise through a mystical green waterway surrounded by a cacophony of jungle noises. Suitable for competent divers, the Kabui Passage offers a unique atmosphere full of surprises. Strong currents rush through the shallow channel, and the eerie green waters stretch up to mangroves that line the banks. Watch the archerfish dart in and out of soft corals, and discover a variety of unusual marine life. Cruise through the Kabui Passage and get a real feel for Indonesia and its other worldly nature.

Day 7

Batanta Island

Sweeping fronds and lush green foliage cradle the wooden stilt houses of Batanta Island, the next stop on your luxury yacht charter. Home to a postcard-perfect waterfall and numerous wild birds, Batanta Island is ideal for those looking to swim in azure seas or relax on white sand beaches. With anchorages offering unobstructed views of the sunset, spend the evening on deck with a glass in hand, before a sumptuous supper cooked by your very own private chef.

Day 8

Sorong

On the final day, cruise from Batanta Island back to Sorong taking in the spectacular scenery around you. Lounge on the sundeck with cocktail in hand, relax in the jacuzzi and reminisce over the memories you have made in the last week. As your time in Indonesia comes to a close, we know that the magical pull of this country will draw you back again for another luxury yacht charter.
