Day 1

Corfu

From the writings of Gerald and Lawrence Durrell to the place where the shipwrecked Odysseus was soothed and sent on his way home, Corfu has been portrayed as an idyll for centuries. Today this reputation has led to parts of the island being defiled by mass tourism, but despite this, the Corfu of literature does still exist. Sail around the corner, walk over the next headland or potter about the rugged interior and a place of bountiful produce, cypress-studded hills, vertiginous villages, and sandy coves awaits. Since the 8th century BC the island the Greeks call Kerkyra has been prized for its untamed beauty and strategic location. Day 2

Paxi

A little treasure about 13 kilometers long, arrive by private yacht to Paxi, a Greek sanctuary. Day 5

Meganisi

Blanketed in luxuriant flora, Meganisi is undoubtedly one of the most stunning Ionian islands, spilling out into the Ionian Sea in luscious swirls of cerulean and blue. Meganisi, nestled within a protected archipelago, has retained its traditional character through picturesque harbours, antique stone buildings, and typical Greek windmills. Day 6

Kefalonia

Perhaps the most enticing of all the Ionian islands, magical Kefalonia is a place where it’s easy to lose yourself amid air thick with oleander and the sound of goat bells. The largest and perhaps the most varied of the islands, there’s space to breathe here. Discover Kefalonia’s convoluted coastline which conceals all sorts of captivating coves and beach-lined bays, lapped by gin-clear waters teeming with colourful fish. Despite the devastating earthquake of 1953 that razed much of the island’s historic Venetian architecture, ravishing harbour-front villages such as Fiskardo and Assos still show off Italianate good looks. A breathtaking backdrop, lush and mountainous, is dotted with wild meadows, Mediterranean oak forests and vineyards.

Day 7

Zakynthos

Also known by its Italian name Zante, Zakynthos is an island of two stories. The southern and southeastern shorelines are dominated by heavy package tourism, but nestled out of sight are some attractive lower-key bases including Keri and Limni Keriou in the remoter southwest. Leave the south behind and set off to explore the rest of the island, where you’ll discover a different place altogether. A tranquil haven, where plenty of forested wilderness and traditional rural villages remain, the spectacular scenery of the rugged west coast is undoubtedly the highlight. Gaze in awe upon the island’s mighty limestone cliffs, which plummet down towards glistening turquoise waters and the occasional yacht far below.

Day 8

Corfu

Cruise overnight from Zakynthos and wake up to the glorious sounds and smells of Corfu.
