Split Yacht Charter

Croatia has become an increasingly popular superyacht destination, offering the perfect mix of old-world beauty and new-world charm. The largest city and capital of the stunning cruising ground Dalmatia, Split is the ideal destination to begin or end any luxury yacht charter through the Dalmatian Islands. A peninsula, the city is surrounded by the crystal waters of the Adriatic Sea and rich, rolling mountains. A true hub for culture, history, cuisine, entertainment and wellness, the old town centre has been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979. It retains much of its original, ancient architecture, including the Diocletian Palace. Immerse yourself in the otherworldly charm of Split and experience the city like never before through a yacht charter.

Split Charter Guide

Many may think that exploring this city is like taking a step into the past with ancient roots and beautifully preserved sites. But do not be fooled – Split is not just a rich tapestry of the past; it is a lively, thriving city that retains a strong sense of modernity between its historical layers. The Riva, the promenade, is a prime example as although it remains much the same as it did two centuries ago, it has been reconstructed and widened over the years.

Old Spilt

The historical core of Split, the city, is known for its fascinating architecture. Best explored by foot, stroll across its narrow streets to Pjaca Square, where the old town hall overlooks a plaza of marble tiles and cafes. Take in the unique Renaissance architecture, remnants from the Venetian era.

Diocletian Palace

Built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian, there is no other palace like this in Europe. Dominating the Old Town, the beautifully preserved 4th-century palace features original Roman streets and the remnants of a military camp. UNESCO protected, several scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed here.

Marjan Hill

An important fixture of the city, this tall 170-metre hill is covered with dense forests and ideal for a morning or afternoon trek. Visit the two churches, St. Nicholas, which stems back to the 13th century and St. Jerome, built in the 15th century and the Jewish cemetery to learn more about the city’s past.

Klis Fortress

Located on a bluff above the hills of the town of Klis, this stronghold has been the site of countless battles. Built by the ancient Illyrians, this castle has traded several hands over the years and is a prominent feature of the skyline.

Krka National Park

Just an hour from Split, the Krka national park follows the path of the Krka river. Home to 17 waterfalls, the tallest measuring nearly 50-metres, many come to see the natural pool of Skradinski Buk, which is fed by travertine waterfalls on one side and then empties by cascades on the other.
