But the underwater beauty goes further than fish, as even more adventure awaits, from underwater caves and coral reefs to the famous blue hole at Hoffman’s Cay. Berry Islands Charter Guide

There are two main settlements on the Berry Islands, Great Harbour Cay and Chub Cay. Each with its own marina and airstrips, the best fishing is said to be found at Chub Cay, while Little Whale Cay and Great Stirrup Cay are ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Great Harbour Cay

Berth at Great Harbour Cay Marina, one of the most protected in the Bahamas and explore this quaint settlement taking in the local restaurants and bars. Then walk along the shore of one of the secluded beaches, enjoying the view or beachcombing before returning to your charter yacht for a drink or two on deck.

Chub Cay

Head to Chub Cay for some fishing you will never forget. Attracting endless amounts of baitfish, this island is known as the “Billfish Capital of the Bahamas.” Try your hand at deep sea fishing and have your chef prepare your fresh catch for dinner. If fishing is not on the cards, then head to the Chub Cay Wall, a diver’s haven. Explore the deep drop-offs and underwater caves and caverns.

Hoffman's Cay

Cruise further north to discover Hoffman’s Cay’s famous blue hole. This blue hole is only 20 feet deep, ideal for all levels of divers, and a good place to start your diving adventure. A stunning natural wonder, see if you can spot the oyster living there.

Mama Rhoda

Reef Home to stunning coral formations, many tropical fish and eels, this reef is a much sought-after diving location in the Berry islands. Take the tender out and explore the reef before returning to your yacht for a relaxing massage.

Sportfishing

Additionally, the Berry Islands offer some of the best bonefishing in The Bahamas. Visitors and fishing captains flock to Great Harbour Cay annually for the annual fishing tournament.
