Unlike other islands in the area, Curaçao is known for its rocky landscapes consisting of dense vegetation, jagged cliffs and limestone caves which are great for hiking and trekking. Find safe anchorage by Playa Santa Cruz and take the tender to the ‘Blue Room’ Cave to see its stunning deep-blue lighting effect. Afterwards, explore some of the beaches in the area, like Playa Piskado, where you can swim with turtles or Playa Santu Preto.

Klein

Spanish Waters

Fuikbaai

A quiet bay, drop anchor here for a calm morning swimming and snorkelling in the clear waters. As the bay is protected, there is very little boat traffic, making it ideal for watersports. Head ashore to the beach for a secluded picnic.

Willemstad

The capital of Curaçao, head to Kleine Werf and visit the city centre, which is listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage sites. Take in colourful waterfront buildings and colonial architecture, influenced by the Dutch. Stop by the Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, the oldest Synagogue in the Western Hemisphere.
